Equipment

In order to practice an electronics hobby a certain basic equipment is necessary. I do not have everything that is there. Absolutely necessary are things that you need to solder.
A soldering station should always be available and for SMD components also a hot air station.
You will still need solder and rosin or some other flux.

Do you really need everything that can be seen here? No! Not necessarily. But it makes life easier. An oscilloscope and a function generator make it possible to test circuits and find errors. But a laboratory power supply must necessarily be. Also more measuring equipment is necessary. At least one digital multimeter should be present.

This is my 20 year old drill. It still works and is absolutely indispensable if you want to make PCB's yourself.

Then, of course, electronic components should be present. SMD components have the advantage that they can be accommodated to save space. But they are not suitable for breadboard testing. This requires a certain supply of THT components.

You can solder SMD components by hand. But that is very complicated and uncomfortable. A reflux soldering station makes it easy to solder complete circuits in one go.

This is a self-made laser cutter. So I can cut black acrylic or even directly exposing PCB's with photoresist.

A 3D printer is useful for making parts for your own projects (such as the laser cutter).

And finally I have a CNC milling machine. This is not used yet because I lacked the time to get into this topic.
